We start in Italy today as a lot of rumours have been coming out of the Serie A. Inter manager Jose Mourinho is very interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas. Tottenham, on the other hand, have their eyes set on two targets from the Serie A – Amantino Mancini and Nicola Burdisso. French midfielder Oliver Dacourt is set to quit Inter for Bologna. Vincenzo Iaquinta could pack his bags for Russia, as he seems set for a big money move to Zenit St Petersberg. Juventus want Quagliarella to fill the void left by the departing player. West Ham United are set to bid £10 million for Brescia’s 19 year old German frontman Savio Nsereko. Ugandan born Nsereko was part of the German squad that won the 2008 U-19 European Championship. Meanwhile, Gigi Buffon has taunted Kaka by saying that he would have never rejected the chance to join Manchester City !
To Spain we move. Pep Guardiola has rubbished rumours that the future of Thierry Henry and Lionel Messi is in doubt. He insisted that the players would not be moving anywhere. Ex-Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman is very close to a switch to Espanyol. Javier Saviola is desperate to find a way out of Real Madrid. He is supposed to have asked Juande Ramos to "find a solution" to his problem.
In France, there hasn’t been any major movement. American midfielder Andrew Jacobson has quit Lorient and returned to the United States. Monaco is interested in signing Ivorian Igor Kolo. The player had a trial with Monaco at the start of the season but was rejected due to his poor physical condition.
We’ll be back next week hoping for some big money moves !
